YELLOW CAB HOUSTON LAUNCHES NEW CHARITABLE GIVING PROGRAM
TO SUPPORT THE 2005 SUSAN G. KOMEN
RACE FOR THE CURE® AND OTHER LOCAL CHARITIES

Latest Charitable Initiative Enhances Yellow Cab Houston’s Community Involvement

HOUSTON (Sept. 15, 2005) – Yellow Cab Houston, Houston’s leading taxi fleet, today launched a new charitable giving program, expanding and strengthening the company’s current community involvement and initiatives. Entitled Yellow Cab Cares, this new quarterly program of Yellow Cab Houston will provide a combination of monetary donations, volunteer time, event sponsorships and public awareness support to Houston-area charities to raise awareness about their cause and promote fundraising activities.

“For years, Yellow Cab Houston has given back to the community and assisted local organizations through a variety of programs and initiatives,” said Marlise Skinner, President of Texas Taxi, the parent company of Yellow Cab Houston.  “As our community support continues to expand, we are proud to not only provide charitable dollars to these organizations, but to also donate taxi cab advertising, employee volunteer time and other resources, all of which are excellent ways for Yellow Cab Houston to help organizations garner attention for themselves and their events.”

To launch its Yellow Cab Cares program, Yellow Cab Houston will donate advertising space on the back of 50 Yellow Cab taxis to the Komen Foundation, Houston Affiliate in support of the 2005 Race for the Cure®. The event will be held in downtown Houston on Saturday, Oct. 1. Partnering with Compass Bank, 50 signs, which are “moving billboards,” will display ads through Oct. 1 to increase awareness and encourage participation in the 2005 Race for the Cure®.

In addition to donating the taxi cab advertising, Yellow Cab Houston will provide TaxiCards, the convenient Yellow Cab pre-loaded gift and corporate card, to each of the approximately 2,000 breast cancer survivors who plan to participate in the Oct. 1 race. The TaxiCards will be given to the survivors in their Race for the Cure® registration bags weeks prior to the race to assist them with attending this important event.

For the fourth quarter of 2005, Yellow Cab Houston has partnered with the 34th Annual Chevron Houston Marathon.  Beginning on October 16 and “running” through January 16, 2006, 50 Yellow Cab taxis will feature advertising that will help bring attention to the race.  Combined with the Aramco Half Marathon and the Houston Press/Smart Financial 5K, the Chevron Houston Marathon, which will take place on Sunday, January 15, 2006, is a citywide festival of community spirit and acclaimed as Houston’s largest single-day sporting event.

Yellow Cab Houston’s vast community involvement ranges from working with local charities and events, including the Houston Police Foundation, Child Advocates, Inc., the Muscular Dystrophy Association, the Spaulding Agency for Children and Fiestas Patrias. The company has also created programs such as annual scholarships, mentoring partnerships with local schools, underwriting local youth athletic events and building community awareness campaigns concerning drinking and driving.
