Houston, Texas (November 26, 2008) – About fifty independent contractor drivers at Yellow Cab, Houston’s largest taxicab fleet, will donate their time on Thanksgiving morning to transport more than 125 homeless women and children from Star of Hope’s Transitional Living Center to the downtown Hard Rock Café where the families will enjoy a free Thanksgiving meal.

“We appreciate the generosity of the independent contractor drivers who are volunteering for this worthwhile event,” said Marlise Skinner, President of Yellow Cab. “Those who participated last year said they enjoyed the joy and satisfaction of providing a valuable service in their own community.”

Marilyn Fountain, Star of Hope’s Community Relations Manager likes the idea. “This is such an exciting opportunity to bring the heart of Thanksgiving to our clients. And now it seems to be becoming a tradition – our Second Annual Yellow Roads of Texas.” she said.
